chilli's in toilet rolls

I always plant my chillies in tiny little newspaper pots (about 1.5" across) and then, when the first true leaves have come, they go into 3" pots. Before I did this, I'd sow 3 to a 3" pot and then prick out. They're pretty easy to transplant and don't mind their roots being distrurbed. Toilet rolls are usually used for things that need a deep pot (eg beans etc) or that don't like root disturbance. There's no reason why you shouldn't use loo rolls (that I know of anyway) but there is no great need and you'll have quite a bit of redundant compost in the bottom of the tube where the root won't reach for a bit. Could cut them in half and plant one per half if you wanted, suppose it depends on how many loo rolls you have, we don't get through many so don't have enough to use anyway.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

I just put them straight into 3" pots when they get their true leaves. It seems like introducing an extra step to use a loo roll in between?Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.
