I have managed to chit quite a few melon seeds from a Galia Melon I bought in Tesco. I have planted them up and they look healthy.
Has anyone else done this and do you get fruit from it.
Might sound like a daft question - but I don't to waste my time and the space in the greenhouse if they will not fruit.
As I admitted in an earlier thread I wasted a lot of cucumber and melon seed by sowing in pots and putting in the propagator. I must have had it too wet or something because they failed.
Having taken the advice of the knowledgable on here, I am now chitting on kitchen roll and with almost 100% success.
I have just potted up a Galia melon, chitted on damp kitchen roll (and forgotten about!!) , that even has leaves!!!
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
