Has anyone ever grown chilli's in growbags? I want to do this but I have forgot what types I am growing (well I know what they are but they are not labelled) so I am not sure if there will be enough room?

Should be fine, but I'd be inclined to use on of the larger/deeper growbags (not the 99p bags) and have some stakes/canes ready to support the plant.

If you want to give your chillies extra root room, do the bottomless pot thing.
Cut a hole out of the grow bag using the base of a 8" pot as a template. Then cut the bottom compleatly out of the pot and stick it into the hole(Fluff the compost in the bag up a bit and push the pot in a good inch or so).Fill the pot with some good quality stuff and plant into that. Chillies should be more than happy as they'll just grow down through the pot and continue into the bag. Makes watering easier too! This method also works well with toms and cues! When the Devil gives you Cowpats - make Satanic Compost!

Youi can stand the cheap growbags on end and cut the top off. Then you will have a deeper bag to plant into.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

I plant chillies and peppers in plastic pots of 10 to 20 liters in size. I prefer to use compost only as the planting medium and then it can withstand our hot growing season of long periods of temperatures in th higher thirties (degrees of C). I just regularly feed and keep the soil damp, but in the full sun. I do however sometimes get sunburn on peppers but the results on the average are excellent.
