Zip up greenhouse

Hi all,
I have a mini zip up greenhouse (B&Q 2 Tier Mini Greenhouse, 08700B), and I would like to put my seedlings in it. I was wondering if one of these little things is sufficient to keep the frost out? Will my seedlings die if I leave them in there?

I have a similar gh but 4 tiered. I've only put veg/flower seedlings in there that I thought were reasonably hardy and even then, when frost was forecast last week I put a blanket over the whole thing. So the answer is no, on their own, they will not keep the frost out i'm afraid.

Where are you Crundy?
If you are likely to have any more frosts ( and, lets face it - it IS only April 1st!) then I would ere on the side of caution and bring your babies in at night.
I know its a pain to have to trundle out there in your jammies at midnight when you forgot to do it earlier, but why risk alll your hard work?
It won't be long now - depending where you live - before a mini greenhouse WILL give enough protection, so hang in there!

I've got my seedlings in one of those four tiered plastic greenhouses. My peas, brussel sprouts and beetroot are all going great guns, but I haven't been able to germinate anything else, like my strawberries, chillies or tomatoes. I don't really have the space to put them inside, so I'm stuck with it unfortunately

Chillies and tomatoes need more heat (about 18C) to germinate. As you've found, hardy veg like peas and brassicas need considerably less heat to get started.

Placcies aren't frost proof - mine was down to minus 2C the other night, but I don't have anything in it that isn't hardy (except the geraniums, which were a goner by January)

I have all sorts in mine I sow the seeds and put them indoors and then pot them on and put them in the plastic greenhouse, They are all going great guns but I am in the far south.

I have a plastic coldframe. It is like one of those 2 man tents with opening zips along the sides. It is, I think, more substantial than the mini greenhouses because it has a mesh built into the plastic. What I use when a frost is due is a tiny paraffin heater standing on the floor. See attachment
