Still digging up manure clods...

Afternoon guys and gals.

I added farmyard manure to my new veg patch last October/November. I've just started digging it over in preparation for planting seeds and pot-grown veg but I am still digging up clods of manure/straw.

It obviosuly hasn't fully broken down, so my question is should I remove them or dig them in again? Is it OK to plant seeds & plants with thi stuff in the plot?

Any organic matter is good for the soil.
Usually the land is dug and manured in autumn and then it's just a case of raking it down in the spring ready for seed sowing. If you are digging it again you will bring all the manure up again.
I personally just let the worms do my digging by spreading the manure on the surface.

If you have already dug it again I would just rake it down, dragging any loose dry stuff off as you go.

If I get this problem I just take off the big dry bits that are getting in the way and put them in the compost bin to carry on rotting down. Plant as normal - shouldn't be a problem.
