  • tomatillo seeds

Hi all. In common with many I have grown tomatillos for the first time this year. However, I would like to save some seed from this year's plants and would like to know the best way to go about this. Do I cut into a fruit and scoop out like a tomato and leave to dry or is there a better way?

I still have some on my plants and a couple sitting in the kitchen whose skins are quite papery.

    Many thanks for your advice.

I'm going to sound really ignorant now, but I'm new to this so please forgive me - what are they, I know what they look like but what do you do with them?

The best thing to do is a search for tomatillo. There is one on which black kitty has posted some pics. They are related to the cape gooseberry. Quite tasty raw and very juicy roasted. Often used like a green tomato.
