its not too late if you have somewhere warm, most plants catch up anyway, chillis seem to have a mad rush during the summer, plus this summer is supposed to be a scorcher.thats what i love about growing veg and herbs, you never stop learning

My later sown stuff has surpassed my earlier sown stuff which struggled badly!

Definately not too late , you are two weeks or so behind my usual and I have a cracking hanging crop of Basque everyyear in Sept / Oct. Totally agree that start later and they soon catch up.

Sow the seed and see how it goes, you can always double up and get a few plants from GC as well. I would think that plants will be available in GC for at least the next couple of months.

I sowed mine weeks ago and they're still not past the two leaf stage yet, I think they're waiting for the warm Summer that Potty's on about.

Don't grow chillis as I don't like them but all my peppers (sweet and bell) are still at the two leaf stage, as in seed leaves - even though I started sowing in Feb!

Your not too late, I sowed my first batch about four weeks ago, but a follow up lot only a couple of days ago, they will be fine.

I sowed some last week, the ones I started at the begining of March are only just putting their first true leaves thro. They seem to take forever, then in Sept you'll be inundated! Wonderful! I still have some dried, and a few in my freezer, and that was off 3 plants last year, and I put chilli in everything!

I tried jogging, but I couldn't keep the ice in my glass.

Well, I'm going to have to resow this weekend anyway as the cats have knocked the propagator on the floor for the third time, my peppers and chillis seeds seem doomed. I rescued a few and they are now labelled as unknown chillis or peppers.

I guess I have no excuse not to have another go with the Anaheim chillies then (last lot didn't germinate at all) - I like the idea of having a milder variety for making salsa.
