Tomatoes in growbag using grow pots

Robin, how many drinks bottles per grow-bag? One per plant or two between 3 plants?

Re the grow pots, can u use them for any other veg?

Hi folks,
I'm using growpots for tomatoes this year. Seem to be doing well enough. I've got myself a bit confused though. Apparently, the idea is to water in the outer trough and feed in the internal pot. But surely, whilst waiting for the first toms to set so you can begin feeding, the roots in the internal pot will dry out? Or, given that the compost in the internal pot is in contact with the growbag compost, will capillary action be enough to keep the roots moist?

I hope so !
I am trying cucumbers in growbags and grow pots this year. 2 plants of a mini type (green fingers) with a metal pergola type thing stuck in the middle for them to grow up.

I'll come back in a couple of months time and let you know how they get on.
