Did I read somewhere about hoovering flee beetle or dragging something over the plants that they stick to? Maybe not? May have been white fly come to think of it!

A while ago I read an article in Wikipedia which says that ground elder is from carrot family. So if I have ground elder in the garden does it attract carrot fly as well or not?

A lot of advice here and one of the best bits is to cover them with fleece if you are not raising the beds. Also when weeding the area make sure that the carrots are not exposed to the air. In some ways earthing up just a small amount helps them too.
