monkey nut plant

MONKEY NUT PLANT
my daughter bought my wife a monkey nut plant for mothers day have potted it and put it in the greenhouse where it has sat since mothers day with not the slightest sign of any thing happening . has anyone tried to grow one of these before is there anything i should be doing other than keeping it warm and watered, or have i no chance of anything happening !!!!!
