Frazzled broad beanlings

I planted some broad beans for the first time this year - growing in pots in the shed (4 windows). They got to about 2 inches and all the tops have gone dark and crispy - was it the frost or have they been sun burnt? (the windows face south west). But more importantly will they survive (they have really long healthy looking roots) or should I just plant some more?

Any advice gratefully received.

Broad beans are pretty hardy plants and should be fine outdoors at this time of year. I suspect they've got too hot in the window. I don't know if they'll survive, it depends if the growing tip has been damaged or not. You can try putting them outside, maybe slightly in the shade to begin with, bring them back in at night for a few days so the change doesn't shock them too much.
I think you could do another sowing now if they don't make it, but leave them outside this time

Thanks for that. They look worse today, the top is all crispy. I'll plant some more anyway and put these in a corner somewhere in case anything happens!
