fennel recommendations

Has anyone got any recommendations for fennel? I've always had trouble with it bolting, so thought I might go for something that had some kind of resistance, and I know T&M have one called Victoria which they claim does this.

Any thoughts or hints would be welcome.

Fennel is one of the few plants where I buy F1 as bolting is a real issue. I generally plant a variety called "Spiro". Also, dont sow them too early, even F1 varieties bolt
if you do.
