What's your favourite bit?

I am looking forward to seeing the painting of my plot I've visualised in my head turn into a reality! (or even part reality!)

Fave bit has to be the look on loved ones faces when I give them something from the garden or they look round the veg plot and say ' you grew THAT!'

Coming inside with my hands full of the first pickings of, say, early spuds or runner beans - and saying 'LOOK!!'

Love it all except watering and weeding. Have to also agree with JM there is nothing more satisfying then the taste of those first early potatoes. Ialso enjoy the challenge of trying to keep the whole plot productive for the whole of the year

All of it! Best bits.....the look on my eldests sons face when he ate "real leeks" from the garden, seeing new shoots germinate, seeing my junkyard backgarden slowly turn into a bit of heaven.

Not keen on pricking out and those flaming slugs

I love those first of everythings....the first beans chopped into rice because there's only 3 of them and you want to make them last....the first new potatoes cooked and served in butter....the first toms sliced and eaten with cheese in a sandwich...the first peas eaten in the garden...and the first onions big enough to use in cooking rather than as springs and the first chillis chopped into a pasta dish. YUMMY

I love the seed sowing, but one of other favourites is digging-up those first new potatoes. Oh and eating peas fresh from the pod.
