Of my four overwintered chilli plants the Jalepeno has 4 chillis growing on it. The Purple Tiger has plenty of flowers, the other two - one of which is a Cayenne and doesn't look too healthy, haven't done much at all.

Still at the seed leaf stage, with one pot making a start on the tip of first true leaves.
As for my overwintered pepper - I have a stick.
Did you keep the plant indoors in winter - I mean, in the house?Last edited by maytreefrannie; 27-04-2009, 10:06 AM.My hopes are not always realized but I always hope (Ovid)

Never stopped getting chillies from my 3 year old Prairie Fire which now lives on a window ledge all year round. It could do with repotting but I'm loathed to do so when it's so productive. Also kept a Purple Tiger but got get up with that when it got a bit unwieldy and full of bugs so threw it out and have another on it's way. Also have some Nigel's Outdoor from a Feb sowing (indoor at the moment) flowering.Last edited by Alison; 27-04-2009, 12:22 PM.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Where are you based Crundy? That looks like a good crop so early in the season (unless you're not UK based, in which case you're probably somewhere totally different in the seasons!)

Good effort.A simple dude trying to grow veg. http://haywayne.blogspot.com/

I don't overwinter mine HeyWayne. I founf it wasn't worth the effort - except for a Prairie Fire which produced non stop for about 3 years then died of exhaustion.
The Jalapeno and Big Jim and Hungarian Black I planted early this year are all into flower.
My sweet peppers were planted a bit later. They're growing well but not into flower yet.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

I've got pods on my apache, adorno, tabasco and orange habaneros. They were all overwintered. All the overwintered plants are flowering and some of the seedlings from this year have flower buds appearing. This is my biggest orange hab pod, just waiting for the sun to come back and ripen it!
