It's my first year at planting garlic but I have heard different advice from different sources. Some say plant the garlic as a whole bulb whilst others advise to plant the individual cloves. Help.....what do I do?

Generally plant the individual cloves out, usually 5 or 6 inches apart with a gap of at least 6 inches between rows, that way each clove should produce a bulb of cloves come harvet time! Or at least thats my understanding, what it said on the packet of the ones we planted and what we did! Hope it helps!Blessings

Good luck with the garlic and onions! We planted our onion sets 2 weeks ago now, and they have sprouted already! The tallest is already 6" tall, tho some of them are only just breakinbg the surface! Our Garlic went in last weekend, so nothing visible as yet!Blessings
