they don't keep them with the cut flowers at my local store but tend to stack them under a table holding potted plants. i use them for spuds (first time this year) carrots, chiilis, peppers and aubergine. great value for money.

If anyone has any going spare I will gladly pay postage. I just can't seem to find anything cheap local.

Do they put them out for sale or do you have to go and find a management type to get them to sell them to you?

They tape them in lots of about 8, with tape saying 99p on it ,the 8 is often more like 6-7 larger ones and about 4 about 2/3 the hight, they usualy hide them under a table with plants on

ive got most things in them from smaller citrus trees, potatoes , blackcurrents, raspberrys, blackcurrents, goosberys, small fruit trees in them ( a bit small but will change later in the year), asparagus, all the tomatoes are in them, rosebushes etc, strawberrys i have one large plant in the center and 4 around the sides through holes about 4 inch from the top, ive even turned some into diy aerponic spray mist cloning/growing containers

Nor mine, when I got home from my trip to Morrisons in Peckham, I phoned the next nearest one in Wimbledon and the guy I spoke said they don't sell them.

Don't suppose your sister fancies going on a mercy mission for me?

Last year I was in the pet department of a local store and a lad was taking poly bags holding ornamental fish for aquariums out of large, deep polystyrene boxes. I asked him if they recycled them and he said no, so I asked and got several. They make ideal containers for veggie growing and the polystyrene insulates the contents.

that would be great. I have a voucher for a courier so I can have them collected from you.

                            Cheers

It doesn't need to be a Morrisons, or even a supermarket - I can get them from my local garage forecourt. They get their nasty flowers delivered in them too Basically anywhere that sells cut-flowers is a potential source as the flowers are delivered in these buckets every week.
