Had my first strawberry, it was huge and tasted like heaven. I had every intention of sharing it with my OH but he was talking to our plot neighbour and I couldn't stop myself from eating all of it:O I tried to feel guilty afterwards but just kept thinking of the taste
Also dug up some early potatoes, the plants were yellowing and dying (i'm thinking blight). They are maris peer and we will be having them for dinner tonight.

Anyway, today we had lovely new potatoes from the garden, also I picked some lettuce and a little sage.
All delicious. My hopes are not always realized but I always hope (Ovid)

Yours are well ahead of mine Bin's they are yellow & rock hard, birds get the greatest amount of mine but thats OK because 1) they are made round to go around 2) while they eat them from high in the tree they are leaving the veg patch aloneHe who smiles in the face of adversity, has already decided who to blame
