Was going to harvest the snails and drop them in a bucket of salty water Flo, but two year old grandson was with me and he likes snails.
Made do with another carrier bag full of PSB (bladdy molluscs got shaken off) and a few asparagus spears, including a two inch high one that aforesaid grandson stood on and snapped. Told him he can have it with his dinner.

There's a lot of pleasure to having grandchildren RL, but they are a pain when they build hospitals, schools and parks for the snails and they look horrified when you explain what the pretty blue sweeties are for. Sigh. They all like garlic butter though, so I have a plan.Granny on the Game in Sheffield

You're all making me hungry! Nothing from the garden here today. Cabbages not doing too well. Dogs have been chasing mice o/night and made a mess of most everything else. Lot of radish, not too fond of them, but they do grow easily at this time of year apparentlyAli

I haven't been to the lotty for a week, too wet & cold. Well, a couple of hours of warm sunshine have changed things: everything's waist high !
I picked a carrier bag of PSB, another of leeks & spring onions, a third of cabbage and (Rusty) lettuce. I could've had chard and black kale, but puppy was whining to come homeAll gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
