  • Huge numbers of tomatoes - cherry and plum, cucumbers, chillies, an aubergine and some confused calabrese. Just planted out my garlic too!

        • Today, I picked the last of the yellow French beans and some purple French beans. About 5 courgettes and several patty pans. A punnet of cucamelons, two cucumbers, some asparagus peas. A nice big bunch of spinach, a spring cabbage. Radishes. A wayward turnip, I found growing in my brassica bed (have no memory of sowing turnips there and there was only the one). Florence Fennel (which has bolted, but I hope to salvage at least a little). And some bortlotti beans which had finally gone papery. Some more peppers and chillies. 😄🍎🍆🍅🌽

                    • My first bag of maris piper yielded 7lb 12 oz, good size but the haulms are still green we needed spuds, I shall leave the other bags another month. Tomatoes are going red at last, some gardeners delight that went red 3 weeks ago were horrible, mushy and tasteless, but these latest ones are sweet and tangy. Three celery plants, made celery soup that was drop dead gorgeous, some of my celery has gone to seed, what did I do wrong. First few sweet corn and one lone small outside pepper. yesterday we had parsnips (about 6 inches long) with our Sunday roast beef. I started this year rather late for various reasons so most of my stuff is a bit behind, next year however....
