    I always have the same problem with s onions, Catgirl. And leeks. My leeks were in the ground for a year last year. They did get slightly above 'pencil size' but not much. Let's say, miracle marker size.

                • Some more spring onions and some iceberg lettuce leaves, to make a bean & egg salad for lunch. I thought I'd have something healthy but I guess I forgot that I don't really like salads! I only grew the lettuce because I like it in wraps. Now I feel guilty about throwing half of my homegrown lunch away...

                    • Some asparagus, a cauli, lettuce, PSB and to my surprise found a load of mange tout in the polytunnel were ready. Really made my day as I'd missed the fact that they were even flowering

                      Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

                        • Garden:Cauliflowers, lettuce,chives, PSB,WSB,leeks,cabbage, asparagus,parsnips(late sown last year),chocolate mint, winter radish and swedes.
                          Polytunnels: Pak Choi , spring onions, kohl rabi, broad beans, mange tout, mung beans, mustard , cress and other baby leaf salads
                          Carrots, potatoes, onions , shallots, bramley apples from storage
                          My extended family collected their weekly veg supplies.

                              • The world's tiniest lettuce, I pulled the cloche off it and came away too Went round loosening the cloches after that.

                                Loads of herbs too, lemon balm, chives, parsley and mint.
                                Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?
