DD dug up the parsnips that had sprug into life again after being missed last winter. They weren't great tbh, but at least I now have a nice big space to plant up.

Some perpetual spinach and my first ever Swiss chard! As baby leaves, but that's how I think I'll keep them. I've never cooked chard before so am now off to look up some recipes!

More lettuce today. Some of it tastes quite licorice-y. It's out of a packet called 'Morton's Secret Mix' from Real Seed Co, and I've just worked out the disadvantage of that, which is that if you really like one particular sort, you can't identify it! Have any other Grapes used this mix?

Today I harvested on purpose - Asparagus, mint and chives and by accident ( was digging in the border to see if they were ready and one popped up) 2 potatoes.
I stop buying potatoes when I start chitting in the spring to make the first new ones really special - so this will be a treat.
Yesterday I harvested elderflowers and Rhubarb - both of which is being turned into liqueurs ( hopefully)
