        • Great looking garlic Sequoia. I daren't post a photo of mine, it's like marbles

Today I harvested onions, first cutting of purple broccolli, and 2 plants of Sherine first earlies. Really pleased with the Sherines, there were about 15 good size potatoes per plant.

            • Had our first home grown potatoes today. Colleen, which I took a chance and planted in a half barrel insulated with a roll of polystyrene.
Peas, Onward and some beans, The Sutton.
My first two tomatoes, one Sungold and one Gardeners Delight.
A good handfull of strawberries, some garlic and onions.
              All tasted lovely.

And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,

                • A portion of broad beans, some peas, one raspberry and two strawberries. Oh and some calabrese that had bolted. Figured I may as well eat it.

                              • I culled another lettuce but what I was really keen to try were the 2 potatoes I gathered by rummaging around bare fingered under one of the International Kidney plants.

We cooked them for 25 mins they tasted a little earthy but very creamy, they were superb. I count them as a success for the first ever potatoes I have grown lets hope the rest taste as good.
