                • 40 'mini corn cobs', only about half will be edible, the others grew too big I think.

                  • Cherry tomatoes, moneymaker tomatoes.

Worlds most smallest cherry tomato and moneymaker tomato. The others are fine.

                    • Yesterday, I harvested loads of runner and French beans, 5 courgettes (thank goodness I'm back to courgettes and not marrows). 7 patty pans. A dozen corn on the cobs. An armful of both spinach and kale. A bunch of carrots. 6 femspot cucumbers, that had become monsters by hiding in the poly tunnel. And 35, yes...35 crystal apple cucumbers. I've been harvesting these several times a week and I didn't even take all the ones that were ready today.

I have no clue what to do with them. I planted 4 plants outside as I thought they wouldn't do as well as the cukes in the poly...how wrong could I be. I'm so inundated with them, I'm beginning to think of them as evil. I want to say its a lesson learned for next year and I'll only be planting one plant, but being quite honest, right now, I'm not sure I ever want to see another crystal apple cucumber. However, I did see them on sale at the farmers markets today - 50p each. Shame I'm not allowed to sell my allotment produce.

Oh and I tried to upload a pic of the pile of them...but the app won't let me for some reason. Oops, And now I'm in danger of ranting on the wrong thread.

                      Happy harvesting everyone!

Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?
