  • Forgot about this thread! For the past week i've been picking a handful of Rasberries daily (quick nibble ont he way to work - lovely! ).

    Got a bowl full of spuds (first earlies), bowl full of turnips, and loads of lettuce (sick of that now, it just never seems to die?).

    • been picking turnips.wet garlic, bolted onions,salad leaf,letuce and herbs.itching to pick first courgette and watching the spring onions gradually die off.
      a good put down line to use !

                • 5 sugar peas and one broad bean pod (just to check them) which only contained 5 baked bean sized beans but were delicious!
                  I had a furtle in my Sharpes Express bag and found some spuds so whoo hooo some of them will be on the table over the weekend.

                  • My first redcurrants, blackcurrants & raspberries, and my last 4 lb of broad beans. Another carrier bag full of peas, lettuce, onions.

                      • First potatoes today! The ground was just like dry sand and I could dig easily with my hands, didn't even get my hands dirty.

                        First complete meal from the garden. Potatoes, courgettes, mangetout and the first true peas.

                        That's the last of the Sugar snap mangetout. Seven big meals out of 50 seeds, does that seem about right?

                        We've now harvested and eaten, well over 50 courgettes, probably more like 70 or 80, some very small though.
