      • A handful of Greenhouse Strawberries, although there would have been a few more if something hadn't have half munched a few of them - no idea what it could be.

          • At weekend enough Perp Spinach for 4 - Garden to table in 10 minutes - how good is that, some broadies for salad and french beans as well. (started off in boxes in greenhouse in Feb as an experiment. Not highly successful and won't repeat but yielding a few beans now) Strawberries - not many - enough for an Eton Mess though. Loads of mixed leaves and rocket. First courgette will get harvested tonight I think. Thank goodness for the rain.

            • More Strawberries today, and caught the Strawberry thief red handed - a female blackbird who's been going in and helping herself to a strawberry breakfast each morning as i open the doors first thing & leave them open all day!

                • more spinach today which is just wilting down but is only a few forkfuls but the kids will get it today...ooh and I pinched a pea pod off my friends veg patch earlier on my way out of her garden...oops but very delicious.

                  • Bit of a day for firsts today, picked my first Marketmore cucumber along with the first bucket of Pentland Javelin potatoes, then the usual cut and come again lettuce, spring onions, and some chives.
                    Location....East Midlands.

                    • I picked 2 pak chois, a row of oriental spinash some chinese red kale from the lotty and loads of salad leaves, time to give away to friends.

                      • Last night, some sugar snap peas to add to a risotto - worked wonderfully well. Followed by a salad of Red Basson lettuce, and some baby leaves. Handful of Greek basil on top.
