Today I Mostly Harvested......

We had an excellent roast dinner today with freshly picked carrots, broad beans and peas....lovely!

Had a good day today, got enough broad beans,maris bard spuds,carrots,and snowball turnips,so only had to buy the beef ,more than enough for 4 adults and 2 kids. keep on rocking and stay lucky

Spring (?) cabbage, bored beans , lettuce (some cos and lollo rosso) , rocket potatoes and a few strawbs. Apart from the lettuce it all got munched with our beef dinner .

Yellow courgettes now online. Slapped a couple on the Barbie last night, yummy.

Have you noticed the first couple off a plant are a bit weird either stunted or misshapen.
Once you get past the first two it's like the plant has figured out what to do and then it bangs them out like no tomorrow.

Yellow are much nicer not as watery.

i harvested my first strawberry of the year and it was a whopper! nothing beats the taste! i also used some of my own basil (only a few leaves though as my plants are still small).

Well for me it was a handfull of raspberries and 4 strawberries. The rasberries are in the freezer but the strawberries in me.

pea shoots, spinach and CCA lettuce for a lovely salad for our tea.
Then I had a furtle whilst sitting out on the patio and found that I should have some salad potatoes ready too so I can't wait to eat some of them.

Yesterday 2 Winter Density Lettuce (given to neighbours) and a collander full of mixed leaves for a salad including CACA lettuce, Spinach, Chard & Beetroot leaves.

have also had Charlotte spuds and peas & broad beans this week and a few salad leaves out of the tunnel
