Today I Mostly Harvested......

  • My first ever cabbage. The label says it's a golden acre primo, but it looks oval rather than round, so I'm guessing I mixed up my labels and it's an offenham. I don't really mind what it is. A third was steamed for tonight's dinner along with some mange tout, potatoes, a stir fry of courgettes & shallots and some salmon.

        Parsley to top my bean stew for dinner

          • Today I just picked up some PSB again and some kale that my neighbour has told me to pick when ever I want some ( nice one Dave) spuds not ready yet and I'll be pulling some carrots up out there box's that I grow them in out in the back yard about 5 mins when wifeys ready for them ....

              • 5 mini -white cucumbers, 2 courgettes, some mange tout... and I noticed earlier that some blackcurrants were ready so I'm going to pick them now.

                  • Lettuce & spinach that went in sarnies for lunch, and 4 red & green chillies that went into a chilli for dinner. Good job i decided to try overwintering one from last year as this years are teeny-tiny and refusing to grow any bigger!

                    • Some Mange-tout, peas, courgettes, potatoes for a mate to make veggie lasagne with. Some beetroot and my second tomato of the season for my mother in law who is in hospital and a raspberry, a strawberry and a gooseberry for the wife to show her I am a good boy

                      • Three purple carrots, 750g of Foremost potatoes from a sack, a small handfull of french beans (blue lake), and one large courgette.

                        It was all lovely... see pic which excludes the courgette.

                              Several pounds of raspberries, sugar snap peas, lettuce. Also cut back sage and marjoram and strung up six large bunches in shed to dry.
