    • Harvested these over the past week. The cucumbers cut today, the two pale squashes and aubergines yesterday, and the dark green squash last week.

            • My first greenhouse melon this year. (Emir I think it was - saved from melon I grew last year) Don't know what it tastes like yet as waiting to share it with grandchildren tomorrow.

                    • Just back from the plot with 2 cabbages, 12lb tomatoes, 3lb french beans, 2lb broad beans, 10lb of spuds, 5 peppers, 4 chillies, 4 turnips, 2 swedes, 2 sweetcorn, 4 portions of broccolli and another 18 whopping huge courgettes! Methinks Im cooking it all up tonight for the freezer, apart from the sweetcorn, which is for starters for tea! (Mind you, its too big to fit in my largest saucepan!)

                      • My first ever crop of Cranberries - yay me!! I also harvested a good couple of handfuls of tomatoes, three baby pumpkins, a courgette, a couple of crystal lemon cucumbers and a bowlfull of Rasps. For dinner we had Beef casserole with carrots, Kohl Rabi, New Potatoes and PSB and everything but the beef was homegrown - makes you feel rather proud doesn't it

                              • I'm rather embarassed to admit this, but I think I kind of 'got it wrong' on the Sweet Genovese Basil front, as I harvested a whole POUND in weight of this yummy summer herb inside of the conservatory the other day.

Ordinarily, I wouldn't be worried, but I still have Pesto in the freezer from last summer because I 'got it wrong' then as well? DOH!
