  • Four marrows, and four courgettes that aren't quite big enough to be called marrows. A handful each of peas, runner beans and french beans, 3 nice beetroot, 2 sweetcorn cobs that have been munched by something and also hadn't pollinated properly. 3 lb of potatoes from my very very late planted earlies.

          • THIS GYO IS GREAT! down here on the Welsh/English border as well DLittlewood, and, having read through each and everyone's updates on the thread this evening, sometimes it's a timely reminder for me to harvest stuff of my own!, so today, I mostly harvested:
            * three figs
            * 5 courgettes
            * a shed-load of grass clippings, again (!)
            * 3 Purple Peppers
            * 5 long Red Peppers
            * Sweet Marjoram Herb
            * Genovese Basil
            * Flatleaf Parsley
            * A dead grumpy boyfriend again

            • No been here for ages, but have had a fairly successful 1st year on our allotment.

              This weekend we have harvested:

              A cucumber
              tomatoes
              Cayenne pepper
              friggitello pepper
              rhubarb
              garlic
              onion
              carrots
              a giant parsnip (yes, I know it's early, turned it into spicy parsnip soup, so no need for it to be sweet.)
              Blue Danube maincrop potatoes
              Courgette.

              I'm really looking forward to my sunday dinner, roast lemon & garlic chicken (home grown garlic), carrots, roast parsnip & roast maincrop potatoes

                • Mange tout! Can't believe it, but my conservatory-dwelling, pot-grown "Norli" mange tout has actually given me some pods! I'm over the moon cause I sowed it pretty late, 18 July actually. I really didn't think I'd get anything off it and I've never grown them before - in fact, this is my first summer growing anything - so hooray!

                          My Cara's were perfect also (as were my Caitriona's) - the Lady Balfours were a disaster though and the Roosters were somewhere in between.

                          I have started to harvest a few of the Gortahork Cabbages and they are huge! Most of the heads are football size and very tasty.
