Small cabbage and forced rubarb - delicious both.

Yesterday - my first helping of Purple Sprouting Broccoli (my all time favourite spring crop!!) and some delicious forced rhubarb too.

Asparagus!!!!


Can't believe how quick it grows once it gets warmer. Two days ago it was barely sticking it's nose out, but by late afternoon, itt was ready for picking.

And more Wild Garlic leaves, only to be advised by Trousers that there's acres and acres of the stuff bordering the woods up on the top field, so I feel like I've died and gone to heaven just now.

Beetroot I had forgotten about. Before the frosts in October, I harvested my beetroot and buried the in a deep hole covered by a bit of fleece to keep them clean. They are in incredibly fresh condition.

Today, I mostly harvested ............a radish, and i had to share it with the other half!!! well its year 1 and looks like im far from self sufficient!.

I just found a 4oz mushroom growing in my raised parsip bed.. having it for my tea in an omlet.
