Chop it up and freeze it

              • You lot seem to be having a fabulously steady harvest from your plots, whilst me, I'm still desperately trying to use up fruit in my freezer from last year, blitzing 'still-frozen' fruit with a banana and orange juice to make ice-cold Smoothies, adding defrosted stewed fruit to plain Greek Yoggy, and this morning, I opened a large kilner of Greengages that I'd bottled in sugar syrup and had a bowlful of that for my brekkie.
(From where you're standing, do I actually look like a piece of fruit yet?)

                  • The last of the early psb (goes by the name of Rudolph!). The little sprouty bits wil go in my lunch, the leaves went to the chickens and the stem and roots to the compost heap - everyone's a winner!

                          • YesterEvening I dug up all of my remaining Mini Leekibabies. Largely, because they are now showing signs of BOLTING and RUST..... Neither of which I want, thank you very kindly, but also, because I want to plant stuff in their places.
The Mini Leeks are just SO sweet and tender, and I'm going to freeze them, to spin out their usefulness over the next few months to fill 'The Hungry Gap'.
