      • Just a few carrots, thinning them a bit, but enough for 2 of us. The first time I have managed to grow 'proper' carrots.

        • Lollo Rosso and pea shoots for a salad for tea.
Then some juicy strawberries for my scones and local clotted cream!! Yum! Yum!

          • All the radishes on the allotment - I'm v bored of radishes now and they are starting to split. Took them to work and they were soon snapped up.

Lettuce, strawberries and pulled up the first garlic yesterday

              • Had to pull 4 rows of autumn planted onions as they had started to rot underneath. Pealed and chopped them all and had 3.5kg for the freezer. Only just started with the strawberries and raspberries are only a few days off being ready. Have a glut of lettuce but it is nice to have a fresh lettuce and mayo sarnie. Pulled the first of the carrots yesterday and had them for tea last night they were divine, and I don't care that much for carrots. Still that just goes to show what a difference home grown makes.

                • Today has been my first really good day, for salad tonight new potatoes (Accord), cucumber, radish, rocket, lettuce (Salad Bowl), garlic chives and last but not least peas.

Feast fit for a king but I am having it instead.

I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

                        • Pound and a half of strawberries! I am so impressed with them, I have never had a crop like this. There are enough that the family can share them at hubbys 60th birthday BBQ tonight.

                          • Two slightly oversized courgettes, one dark green, one stripy. Makes a change from the glut of cos lettuces of which I've eaten around one a day.
