  • some PJ spuds and a couple of handfuls of peas from the plot.
    Some carrots from the tubs in the garden and a cuke and 2 black cherry toms from the glasshouse

    • Today’s harvest Potatoes – Anya, Cucumber – Burpless tasty green, Cauliflower – Romanesco, Broccoli - (Calabrese) my first two tomatoes – Sungold first time growing these, and wow!! Beetroot - Chioggia and two (baby) Courgettes – Golden.

              • Thought I'd dig out the last of the potatoes - Charlotte - one hell of a crop must have dug out about 10 pounds. Beginners luck. Carrots not so good though - a few decent ones but mostly rubbish although the rabbits will like the greens.

                • like the pic, mrbadexample! for me cucumber (passandra) caulis, calabrese, purple sprouting b,balottii bean pods,small but very tender runner beans and general munching on cherry toms and peas as I wondered around!

                          • Finally took a brave pill and emptied one of the potato planters. International Kidney. Got about 6 lbs. Not a hefty harvest, though I suppose for 3 seed potatoes it's not bad. Hope they're tasty.

                            • My first tomato of the season - yippee! - a Golden Cherry
                              First courgettes of the season - a nero di milano, a romanesco, a Trieste White - and another large nero di milano which I'd missed - 28.5 cm long!!
                              2 blackcurrants (yup, 2)
                              one lone strawberry (sigh - but we have had a fair few already)

                              thinking about some beetroot tomorrow, we've still some BB to go, and the dwarf french beans are nearly ready - I love this time of year!!

                              • My first ripe tomato from the greenhouse - Bloody Butcher.
                                More Rocket potatoes from the lottie, plus peas, bored beans (lots), a handful of french beans (Cobra), a HUGE cos lettuce, three more courgettes and a bunch of sweet peas.
