  • Emptied another potato planter, same yield as the other one, about 6lbs. I was expecting small new potatoes, I got a few small ones, but a lot of big ones!

    • First runner beans - had them for Sunday lunch, lifting onions as they flop over, and more lettuce than I know what to do with. Oh, and lots of spring greens :-)

        • Yesterday I harvested 5 courgettes, the plants are just starting to get into their stride - i knew i shouldn't have planted all three seeds when there's only me that eats them but they were the last in the packet & it seemed silly just to leave one seed left!

              • My first ever carrot harvest - yay! Plus all of the Picardy Wight garlic (about 30 bulbs) and some dribs and drabs of purple mange tout and sugar snaps. Oh and another Gold Rush courgette.

                    • I have no idea - I'm the first I know to have picked them by now. BUT - we did have a bees nest in the garden and every single flower has set into a bean, so that may be why :-)
