    • Runner beans, french beans, courgette, carrots, potatoes, cucumbers, tomatoes, lots and lots of greengages. Also picked and ate the first Katy apple (not quite ripe but still lovely). Nearly forgot the peas.

                • Yesterday - half a hundredweight of runner beans ... not really but it was a half a carrier bag full. Bag of plums from a neighbour's plot - I am giving him jam that I make with them, greengages - more jam, courgette and cucumbers - piccallili ( is that right? Never sure how many c's and l's there are), tomatoes and 4 little beetroot, all for me.

                              • 9 pounds of Victoria plums, a bowlful each of Gardener's Delight and Sungold tomatoes from the house. Went allotment this afternoon, and daughter started digging potatoes As if I don't have enough at home already. Dug one plant of my Rooster maincrop and got 3 humungous bakers and several smaller ones. A few more runner beans, and lots of weeds. Plus we found some frogs and a tiny weeny baby mouse.
