  • I've just pulled the last of my red spring onions (think they were Ramrod, but would have to check). I've bunched them for my daughter. They're brilliant, will be growing them again.

      • Pulled up the last of the garlic, but as they went in too late, they've not cloved up very well, so will be using them fresh Also got a few courgettes (think another chocolate cake is on the agenda tonight, and a lemon one tomorrow!), radishes, swiss chard and beans, lots of beans. Not bad for five months since getting the allotment!

            • Cauliflowers. Purple were slightly bigger than the just-a-bit-bigger-than tennis ball ones. Disappointed, I'm used to growing huge football sized flowers. A few green sweet pepper long and a spaghetti squash.

              • Yesterday - my first 'professional' cauliflower! In the past they have never got bigger than a tennis ball without bolting, but this was a "proper" greengrocer sized one - and there's another one in the patch. I shall be able to make piccallili with all the vegetables home grown.

Oh and I picked lots of runner beans, french beans, bucket of greengages, marrow (well it was a courgette really but had been hiding under some leaves), gherkins, apples, cucumber and tomatoes.

                • Yesterday - More runner beans, Desiree Spuds, Courgettes, 7k of onions only half! think I may have to rethink onions next year! Tomatoes, borlotti beans, Cucumbers, onion squash (the plant died leaving an orphan squash!) More Raspberries, Beetroot.......and.... erm.... oh yes.... Marrow!

And... no..... I have no idea what on earth I am going to do with it all yet! nearly 20 kilos I lugged back on my collapsing pushchair yesterday!
                  Little ol' me

Oh and the chickens are taking over my garden!

The lad scoffed all the raspberries from the bush.Tomorrow I will be picking lots of French beans (yellow and purple varieties) and some mange tout and baby corn, probably a green pepper or two and some chili peppers as well.
