Further fistful of runners which are starting to get going now, last charlotte potato, handful of apero cherry toms, more flipping courgettes, fennel, first celery, 2 cucumbers, handful of cayenne chillis and some forked carrots (2 for the price of 1, bizarre as I didn't muck that bit!)
8 courgettes (three to our neighbour), the last of the peas, fine beans, some strawberries, a punnet of blueberries and our FIRST TOMATO (Latah Very Early, and it tasted DIVINE)
Pentland javelin potatoes, purple podded peas, black kale the first Scarlet empro beans and a cabbage without a label.
plus a bit of lettuce to go my ham sarnie.

Not today but Friday, I harvested some broad beans. Not only have I never grown them before but i've never tasted them before.
My oh my, they didn't last for todays stew, I peeled the skin from them and ate them as I done it, tasted amazing. Maybe the next lot will make it to the plate.
Had a roast chicken dinner yesterday (very nice it was too!!), and for that from the garden came:
Garlic, parsley, Oregano, basil and onion for the stuffing.
Carrots and Kohl rabbi for Veg
British Queen spuds...
Elephant Garlic and shallots for the roasting tray...mmmm!!
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....
