  • Some more Maris Piper spuds.... this harvest was way bigger than a comparitive digging of my British Queens....so will probably plant a few more Maris Piper next year.....
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

Also a courgette that had drooped down into the pond....(now just need to find a good choc beetroot cake recipe so I can harvest most of the beetroot!).

              • Harvested a bucket full of climbing French beans that I planted on the gable end of the greenhouse. I'll deffo do this again next year as they crop much better and cleaner than those outdoors.
Also harvested half a dozen semi ripe beafsteak toms. I actually prefer using these semi ripe as they are firmer.
Half a dozen eggs taken home and with the veg I've harvested this week will make a veggie omelette/frittata this evening and take it to my project house tomorrow to eat cold..............................yum!

Oh well i will pick them tommorow! (i cant keep up with th frenchies this year, which is unusual for me as i cant usually grow them)

                              • 3 globe artichokes, last of the sweetcorn, few tomatoes, few salad leaves. Oh and the last of the potatoes (apart from the usual 50-odd we've probably failed to dig up). Pumpkin patch looking very healthy - quite looking forward to seeing what's underneath it all!
