                • A round courgette and some green and yellow french beans
I lightly boiled a cauliflower (bought ), sauteed the sliced courgette and beans in butter, then layered them on top of the drained cauli and added chunks of Dolcelatte on top of the lot. 5 minutes under the grill until the cheese melted and it turns into almost instant cauliflower and veg cheese......and it was delicious

                  • Bumper beans crop

Had the largest harvest of runner beans, climbing french beans and b. beans to date and picked one of three marketmore cucumbers because I simply couldn't resist them any longer and I convinced myself it will help the other two similar sized and the little ones to grow better .... Sweetest cucumber I think I have ever had. Might be down to having reared them in the poly ... I know, a mistake, but I couldn't move them once I learned my mistake and the sweet taste is the result.

                          • My first attempt at adding a photo to a post, so forgive if it all goes wrong.
The picture, if it works, is of the fruits of my morning's harvest. All the usual stuff from this time of year.
                            Gives me great satisfaction.

Whoopee, it worked, there's no stopping me now!

                              • A handful of runner beans to go with supper, together with yesterday's courgettes and carrots.
Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?
