  • Oh and the rosemary bush was out of control so it was cut back and we tied it in bunches to give away to guests this evening as little party favours.

Oooh Mrs Wadders...they look great. I love the colour of the yellow ones. They look quite orangey. What variety are they? I'd quite like to add them to my list for next year. Thanks. LF

          • I'll have to check when I get home, they make fantastic marrow and tomato chutney that goes really well with sausages, more like a relish really

            • Over a kilo of cherry toms, half a kilo of outdoor girl and ferline toms. 3 Cucumbers, more runners.
While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.

                  • Four more courgettes, 2 patty pans, French beans, 3 cabbages, a bunch of small radishes (picked to thin the rows), a marrow, 4 cucumbers and a bunch of spinach. I also collected some potato fruit from one of my allotment neighbours, as I want to try growing from seed.

                          • We've been away for a few days so with my blessing my mum has been in taking anything that's ready, but I've just picked a few tomatoes for DS and one yellow raspberry. When we got back yesterday I picked nearly 2lbs of runners, which I've sliced and frozen for pickle.
Is there anything that isn't made better by half an hour pottering in the veg patch?
