How is it I can start the day with clean clothes and end up in such a mess
Perhaps using my sweatshirt like a kangaroo pouch to gather apples wasn't such a good idea, as for the mud on my jeans where I polished an apple to munch on.....and my sleeves are covering in sticky willy seeds
Please tell me I'm not the only one who can't stay clean and tidy
Ok I'll admit it! I picked some blackberries wearing white trousers! Silly woman!

        • Jalepeno, rats tail radishes, some lettuce, garlic chives and basil.
Went well together (with a few extras) in a filling for my home made chapati.

          • Apples and runner beans. A couple of courgettes that I had forgotten I had sown at the bottom of the bean wigwam, surprise!

Ha ha! Totally relate... I went down to lottie tother day 'just' to pick a few beans and came back covered in mud from head to toe. Had to even put my jacket in the wash ... I just cannot be bothered with 'kneeling stools' and the like. Down and dirty is the way it has to be!

Trouble is, I forget that many others live in a largely soil-free world and as the supermarket is on the way home from lottie... Clean folks don't neccessarily expect to meet the mud monster when they pop out for a pint of milk and a paper!!

                • Went down to lottie for a few hours to tidy up before the new tenants take over. Am going away to visit a friend tomorrow who wants some green toms to make chutney. Now bearing in mind this basket measures 2ft x 1ft x 1ft deep.........how many toms do you need for a jar of chutney?.............
