Calabrese still going strong, harvested a bag full for lunch. Deffo one of my success stories this year..............
My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)
Still getting toms daily as they start to get colour. Lots of Chillis ripening up now, harvested 3 varieties and strung for drying. The stubborn sweet peppers are almost red! Having said that, still loads of green ones. I've already diced and frozen a load for adding to my mean bean chilli!
Found a whopping cucumber hiding in the shade netting (about 2kg). Sadly it will be no good for eating. Have had 3 small cucmubers this week and if we are lucky we might see one of two more by next week.
Amazingly still getting Runners off my early row (which despite taking the brunt of the wind and collapsing a few times are still looking remarkably chipper). The late (chance) wigwam sowings are offering up nice small runners as well.
Took in my last few small tondo courgettes (between golf and tennis ball size). Used them in a pasta dish with lots of the basil (which needs using).
I've got Pak Choi ready (and going over), but not used any yet. Must try harder!
While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.
Probably the last courgette
Various kales incl, Asparagus, Tall and cavolo nero and probably some broccoli leaves
Rainbow chard
Golden sweet and Bijou mangetout
2 Broad bean pods from last winter's plants - now flowering again
Lemon grass
Thai basil
Coriander
2 Pretty in Purple chillies
Radishes, with leaves
All to be thrown together with some shallots and Thai garlic I picked earlier to make some sort of stirfry...........Yummy

More calabrese florets for todays dinner (when will these stop producing!) along with tatties and a swede!

Can't believe my cucino cucumber plants are still producing little cucs on their west facing windowsill! But they are - two more are fattening as we speak.
