  • One fig and some sparingly picked rocket and komatsuma from the greenhouse. Plus a couple of nasturtium leaves from the garden as I haven't had frost yet.

      • Visited my very muddy and windy allotment today, for probably the last harvest of this year. Bit disappointed that the PSB wasn't ready, but plenty of sprouts, parsnips etc. Pleased that I also managed to plant the strawberries, which only arrived in the post this week (having been ordered in Sept).

                  • Oca. 12lb from five tubers I got at a seedy Saturday. It gets my award for least work and most reward for this year. Not only tasty, it's an attractive plant and it suppresses weeds, too, covering the ground for most of the year. (Can't quite believe the price of seed tubers we just had about £30 quid's worth for tea!)
