  • Leeks from last year and some mixed lettuce leaves.
    Location....East Midlands.

    • Courgette, potatoes, chilli, lettuce, spinach, sorrel, kale, PSB, nettles, coriander, parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, oregano (or is it marjoram, can't remember), chives, radishes, rhubarb

      Feeling quite pleased with things...

      • You can tell that June approaches as these lists get longer and more varied

        Radishes, globe artichokes and rocket today. And five raspberries - I have cane blight so that may well be it for them

          • My first cucumber! Lots of other little ones nearly ready too. They are 'lunch box' cucumbers, although it is unusual to have a whole cucumber in a lunch box.

            • Over a kilo of Rocket potatoes from a bag in the GH
              4 Purple Top turnips
              Broad beans from plants I grew last year and left to grow on as an experiment
              Some young shallots grown from saved ones
              4 yummy strawberries
              Parsley


              and Pebbles' first egg alongside BamBam's 75g egg (her largest to date)

              • First tub of Rocket potatoes, planted March 1st, 3 seed potatoes in a 45 litre bucket. Total weight 4lb 8oz. not sure if that's good or bad.

                  What amazingly 'clean' potatoes, have you washed them, or do they really come out that clean when grown in bags?

                  • We are stripping the gooseberry bushes and the OH has been busy topping and tailing them. Pinched some from his bucket and stewed them for dessert. On the table within an hour of picking. Lovely.

                      They were "that" clean Dotty - no need to give them a scrub. They glowed like pearls and were very easy to spot. Tasted good too

                              • Rocket taters , strawberries ( don't know what variety) and more salad leaves picked today , in between the showers . All we need now is a bit of sunshine to bring everything on a bit ..
