    • Harvested, all 4 varieties of tomatoes, from my balcony this morning, am quite chuffed, cos I won't have to buy any at the supermarket today. Someone told me 29 Tom plants was too many, but I don't think so, can easily make something with what we can't manage to eat.

What do you get if you divide the circumference of a pumpkin by its diameter?

                          • Been away on holiday for two weeks and Mr. Catgirl is apparently incapable of harvesting anything - so I've got three huge courgettes weighing over 5kg together, 5 cucumbers, a big bowl full of green beans, three peppers and some spring onion. I think it might be time to make some courgette soup...

                            • Three Pounds of runner beans, one pound of french beans, brought home some of the onions drying in my glass shed at the plot, 2 cucumbers, 3 yellow cylindrical beetroot, 2 courgettes, 2 baby cauliflowers (before they bolted). Chopped veggies for piccalilli and made first batch of runner bean chutney.
