      • A more modest claim ( but very exciting, given I only started growing in may):

Mizuna, Mibuna and various/unknown lettuce (as baby leaves). Oh and 4 radishes!

        • Harvested this weekend rather than just today:

Potatoes - Anya (tops dying down, but they are not really finished) - enough for a meal for two
Salad leaves - french blend and italian misticanza - for two lunches and one evening
Courgettes - see picture! (if I can work out how to post it) Nero di Milano, Romanesco and Trieste (the white one)
Mange-tout - yellow - they are no longer really mangetout, more sugar snap - but still nice!

            • A cauliflower! It's all too exciting. My first year growing cauli's and we picked our first one. Had to cut three florets in half to rid them of bug bites but it will see us through a few days.

                  • Handful of goosegogs from my 2 plants (this being the sum total of their fruit but its only year 1) - now in the freezer, 2 sticks of rhubarb, handful of peas, 2 sticks (?) of chard, and all my over wintered onions which are now drying on racks in the shed.

                        • Another good week - 2 pointy cabbages, a final bag of the autumn sown broadies (the spring sown are only a few weeks away), a couple of bolting red onions to use this week, a half a punnet of raspberries, a few more sticks of rhubarb, a red lettuce (and got given a lovely cos type green one), a bunch of turnips, 3 teeny tiny baby courgettes and some fennel to enjoy with some hake.

Hake bbq'ed and served with steamed mangetout (from living fence) and baby carrots (from flower tub) from the back garden, and the baby courgettes, saturday night. Lovely bacon and cabbage dinner Sunday. Tomorrow, we're planning on a spanish omlette with broadies, mangetout, garlic and onions from our own hands. Wednesday has a stir fry planned - cabbage, broadies, turnips, onion and garlic (and a few extra shop veggies). And Thursday is a version of a stir fry, curry style, with more of the same. As well as lunches for me (salads) for at least 3 days this week (and extra garnish for DH's lunches). So not doing too bad on feeding ourselves.

And by next week, we'll have more cabbage, hopefully courgettes, and be continuing the mangetouts.

                            • Well yesterday really, when DD said we had no veg for dinner,
green beans from Speedy in the greenhouse, supplemented by some from plants given to me, hence variety unknown
the last of the aqua dulce broad beans. A number of blind pods, but still just enough.
peas - meteor, enough for the 3 people hwo like them.
                              carrots - paris market
raspberries - enough for 3 bowls, with a few cranberries, and one cherry as a taster.
                              the potatoes weren't ready though.
I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!

Tiny rainbow carrots, one pink beetroot, some French beans, some turnips, potatoes and also some raspberries and gooseberries. All from the plot! I LOVE IT! So...what did you all have?
