    • 3.6 Lb of small potatoes which are lovely and a container full of pea pods for tea later. Only problem is, the chickens saw me harvesting the potatoes and now they keep going and digging the new ones up that I have put in, I bet they are so pleased with themselves for 'helping'. The cabbages unfortunately have been caught by caterpillars overnight.

              • Two pounds of Carlingford potatos, but then decided it was far too hot to have a pan boiling for long enough to cook them, will have to wait for a cooler night for a taste test.

                • my first courgette of 2009! Only 10cm mind you, but good all the same. Also pulled up a Purple Moldovan garlic bulb. Leaving it to dry in the heatwave for a day before I bring it in.

                  • Accent early potatoes, grown in a tub, enough for five adults! Delicious!
Also eggs, yum. Add the bacon (bought) and it was a scrummy tea

                        • A couple of days ago I got my first out door cucumber and tomato.

Very early for me and really lovely.

Why do you suppose the outdoor toms are ready first? That has never happened before.

                          • Five cauliflowers and a handful of courgettes! Blanching the cauliflower to keep as we can't eat that many in one go and it's too hot. Not sure what to do with the courgettes. Can you freeze them?
