So a raised bed full of Well rotted hourse manure?

Hi All,
Earlier this year I built a new raised bed to make a slope a useable space.
Having a stables over the road i had access to loads of really well rotted horse manure this was what I used to fill the new bed.
Having sown some plants directly into this, and transplanted some others in from seed beds propergators etc, i'm begining to wonder if it is really the best medium.
Does anyone else have any experience of sowing into more or less pure horse manure?
The thing that makes me wonder is that some plants planted in other areas at he same time seem to be doing slightly better... But to be fair i'm not sure is that other areas are warmer, or less windy or what.
Any thoughts appreciated.

PURE horse manure would probably be a bit to strong to sew directly into and some things - ie carrots - wouldn't appreciate it at all.
Veggies that are greedy feeders such as runner beans, tomatoes, courgettes and pumpkins would luuurrrve it, as would (I believe) cucumbers.
They would still best be planted into it as plants rather than seed, though.
My advice would be to add a few mole-hills or topsoil. Spread it over the top and plant through. That's what I've done with my courgette bed. Just waiting for the weather to warm up a bit.

Plant some courgettes in there and watch them go mental
I did a couple of years ago and had so many i couldn't give em away!

Done it lots of times and never had a problem. My carrots went mental in it last year and were fantastic. Whether the manure I use and you use are the same, is anybody's guess
