Windy disaster

The really strong winds here over the last few days blew over my little greenhouse all my poor seedlings were thrown out of their pots into a heap of soil. I saved and repotted what I could but now have a bit of a dilemma. I had planted 2 types of courgette, 2 types of squash and a gherkin. They are now all without labels...so...how can I tell them apart

Commiserations Glut Lots of us have been there, it's a horrible feeling isn't it?

As for your 'what's what?' dilemma... Errrrmmmmm....

I think you'll just have to pot them up into bigger pots until one of them produces a fruit! You should be able to tell by the shape of the tiny fruits, hopefully...

Unless someone else has a brighter idea than that?!

I sympathise with you.....it happened to me too a while ago. My brassicas are all mixed up, but hey, its fun finding out what they are!

I had this problem a year ago, so what i did was get a couple of bricks and put them in the bottom around the edges, takes up a little bit of space, but a force 10 horricane wouldnt move it now, and now all my seedlings are safe, so might be worth trying that!!!

I've got a plastic walk-in greenhouse (from Argos I think) I put my compost bags (now gro-bags) along the bottom of three of the sides. Stayed put very well, touch wood, and it's been very windy.

Oh no! That happened to me recently and I now have spring onions growing with beans, cosmos, foxgloves and squash...Oops!

I sympathise i've just found a hole in my polytunnel, a cane from a neighbouring plot punctured it. PANTS!
