  • PSB and Brussells- will they survive the attack?

I came home form work today to discover that my chickens had let themselves into my veg plot (got under the netting which came loose in strong wind)
Theyve had a much on my PSB and Brussells plants, mainly aound the larger outer leaves (smaller ones still whole in centre) Will they survive or had I better sow some more pronto!?!
The darlings also had a dust bath in between rows of spuds and just where I'd sown more carrots! the Joy they bring! LOL

      Hi,

I have some pictures on my blog (No this is not a plug):

      Allotment 13

If you go to november you can see the damage pidgeons did to our plants, I was close to binning the lot (cabbages). Fortunately we left em (Nothing to loose), right now we are pulling up big cabbages and had a reasonable harvest of Cauliflower.

Brassicas are resiliant things, remember on cabbages, when you harvest them, if you do it properly they will grow more mini cabbages of the main stem.

So in short they will survive, cover em up with netting, they'll look ugly for a while but then should be fine as they grow bigger.
